Windcall Institute is a 33 year old healing justice organization whose mission is to support organizers through an arc of transformation from healing trauma to embodying liberation.

We are in an exciting time of growth in our organization and we are hiring for TWO positions this summer.

Residencies Coordinator (full time, remote)

We are looking for a people oriented yet details focused person who is a whiz at logistics, systems management, scheduling, and general coordination to be the primary point of contact for our flagship Residencies program.

The foundational value of Windcall’s Residencies program is radical hospitality and we seek a Coordinator who embodies this value and way of being. We define radical hospitality as a practice of putting extraordinary effort and emphasis on breaking down barriers that prevent people from participating fully in their own healing.

Windcall Institute’s Residency Coordinator:

  • coordinates the annual cycle of resident outreach, applications, and selection process
  • coordinates resident placements, logistics, and communications
  • track individual residents’ development along the WC transformation rubric and offer resources and/or make connections to further their development
  • provides input into program vision and design
  • coordinates alumni engagement in collaboration with the Staying Power Coordinator

Position Requirements

  • Strong experience in detail oriented administration of remote work environments, and management of administrative systems (database, cloud archives)
  • Demonstrated political commitment to community and labor organizing.
  • Knowledge of community and labor organizing terrain nationally with an emphasis on organizers of color.
  • Experience and/or interest in transformative and resilient leadership and enthusiasm for the field.
  • Ease and experience engaging diverse groups and constituents.
  • Capacity to embody and engage others in radical hospitality.
  • 1:1 conversational, group facilitation, and strong relational skills.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Program design and management experience is a plus.
  • Marketing and visual design experience is a plus.

Compensation Overview

This is a full time exempt employee position with a $70,000 annual salary and a full generous benefits package.

Staying Power Coordinator (part time, remote)

We are seeking a dynamic, people-oriented facilitator and program coordinator for our growing and emergent Staying Power program.

We define radical hospitality as a practice of putting extraordinary effort and emphasis on breaking down barriers that prevent people from participating fully in their own healing.

Windcall Institute’s Staying Power Coordinator:

  • coordinates logistics and communications including drafting email, developing social media outreach materials, updating webpage for webinars and events.
  • manages registrations and the database for all Staying Power programs. 
  • coordinates alumni engagement in collaboration with the Residencies Coordinator 
  • supports the development of agendas and facilitation of Staying Power program activities.

Position Requirements

  • Political commitment to community and labor organizing, with knowledge of social justice movements nationally and an emphasis on organizers of color.
  • Experience and/or interest in transformative and resilient leadership and enthusiasm for the field.
  • Ease and experience engaging diverse groups and constituents.
  • Capacity to embody and engage others in radical hospitality.
  • Great attention to detail and management of administrative systems (database, cloud archives)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Marketing, web development and/or visual design experience is a plus

Compensation Overview

This is a halftime non-exempt employee position at $33/hr ($35,000 annually), with no benefits. However, there is opportunity to grow with this position.
