The Windcall Institute cultivates healing justice among community and labor organizers and their organizations working for social justice in low-income and communities of color. Our flagship Residencies Program provides respite to cultivate spaciousness and access to mind/ body/ spirit practices. Our Staying Power Program gives ongoing learning to healing trauma and embodying liberation in our beloved community.
Position
The Development Consultant will track Windcall’s general fundraising plan and raise funds to meet Windcall’s FY2024 – FY2025 funding goals. The Consultant will work alongside staff and other organizational stakeholders to implement the fundraising plan through the following:
Scope of Work
- Provide grant writing and solicitation support.
- Support program staff with communications and tracking of earned income.
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy.
- Conduct prospect research on foundations and other institutional donors.
- Cultivate and solicit individual donors.
- Support new internal infrastructure for tracking grants, contracts, and donations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of grant writing experience and proven track record of securing funding from multiple sources and tracking systems.
- Excellent writing, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills in influencing others and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Successful track record in securing individual donors or corporate fundraising experience.
Additional Information
- This is a remote, contract position estimated to be 6 months to a year, starting in March 2024. Payment will be on an invoice basis following successful deliverables.
- This position will be paid up to $60,000.
- This consultant position does not include health insurance or other benefits.
