In 2015, Windcall partnered with the Four Freedoms Fund to sponsor residency opportunities for Immigrant Rights organizers. Groundswell Fund joined the following year to offer more capacity building experiences for their Reproductive Justice grantees.
These partnerships increase Windcall’s capacity to support frontline organizers in times of crises. Every year, the alumni board convenes to determine which movement sectors engaged in intense organizing can benefit most from rest and healing. Then we focus our outreach efforts towards those movements.
In recent years, Windcall has supported leaders across critical movements making change at the intersections of justice, including Movement for Black Lives, Immigrant Rights, Reproductive Justice, Labor, organizers in the South, and opposition to the rise in white supremacy.
Also in 2015, Holly Fincke transitioned the Directorship to Viviana Graciela Rennella. Viviana brought organizational development experience grounded in wellness and mindfulness practices.
